If you want to create a theme bracelet, try to keep your bead colors to a maximum of two or three. This creates unity in your bracelet.
When you choose your colors, think of what you wear most often. If you want to get full use out of your beads, you may want to choose subtle colors that coordinate with most of your wardwrobe. When choosing your colors, make sure that your colors compliment each other.
When working with a theme bracelet, keep in mind that you might need more than one of certain beads to coordinate your design. For example, if you are choosing a center piece, you may want two colored Murano beads or two of the same spacer beads placed on each side of the center piece bead for a unified look. This also accentuates the center piece.
Look at the bracelets in the Photo Gallery. They will give you an idea of how to coordinate similar beads together and position them into a themed bracelet if this is what you are creating.
If you're creating a theme bracelet, you may want to coordinate your charm beads. For example, if you are creating a bracelet for a girl who enjoys the outdoors and soccer, you could include butterflies, ladybugs, and soccer ball charms. If you're creating a bracelet for your Mom, add charms that signify her importance in your life with hearts, flowers, a Mom heart, or a motherhood charm.
If you are working with a Chamilia Snap bracelet or a Lobster Claw bracelet, you will need to lock your Chamilia beads at the end of your bracelet to prevent your beads from slipping off the bracelet.
If you are working with a Chamilia bangle bracelet, the bangle already has beads that lock your bead design in place so your beads will not fall off your bracelet as you take it off or put it on.
Keep in mind that you do not have to fill your entire bracelet with beads. Part of the fun of building a Chamilia bracelet is so you can add beads over time. This also makes a perfect starter gift for a loved one because you'll never run out of gifts that they are sure to love! You can add as many beads or as little as you like and with locks to hold your beads in place, your bracelet will always look complete!
When you are creating your Chamilia bracelet, remember to leave room at the ends of the bracelet so that they bracelet will be able to bend around your wrist properly.
